Cisco has opened a new datacentre in Research Triangle Park,  Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. Below are some specs:

  • 2.88 MW of power
  • 18,500 square feet (1719 metres squared)
  • PUE of 1.4
  • Tier 2 facility
  • 438 rack capacity
  • Up to 5,000 blades (Cisco Unified Computing System)
  • average of 6.5 KW per rack
  • air and chilled water cooling
  • a hardened floor instead of a raised floor (cables enter via overhead rails)
